# First Mile Navigation

When the traveler is off the curated route — at the start of navigation or after a detour — the app offers to navigate to the best entry point.

Available in the **GUIBO App** and all **white-label app variants**. Always on — no setup required.

#### How it works

1. **Off-route detection** — The app detects that the traveler is not on the curated route.
2. **Join prompt** — A prompt asks whether to join the curated route.
3. **Dynamic routing** — If the traveler accepts, the app routes them to the best entry point from the current GPS position.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Internet connection required.** The route is calculated on demand from the traveler's live position, so the feature does not work offline.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.guibo.travel/publishing/tour-guide-app/turn-by-turn-navigation/first-mile-navigation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
